Podcast No. 2: September 2012 F&L List
Hi all, check out the podcast to hear Scott Page, Billy Brake and I share our thoughts on the September 2012 Forbidden and Limited list!
Hey Sam. You, Billy, and Scott did well. It was definitely a good listen. I wish you had discussed Super POLY. I think that is an issue card with the dark hero coming out next week. It would be great to hear more from you three when the lists start leaking out.
I'm sure it had nothing to do with you being mentioned a couple times. :)
Really though, thanks, Joe. The respect is mutual; yours and Pat's articles are the best available. It'd be great to have you on the podcast in the future.
Yeah, Thomas. I drafted up the list of cards we reviewed pretty quickly and thought I got most of the relevant cards and then some. But yeah, I did miss some, and really, would've like to gone more in depth with almost everything that we did talk about, but it ended up being much longer than I anticipated, as is.
If I remember correctly, though, Billy did cover that card along with E-Call in his article on ARG. While I think you're right, as your bring up a good point, with the Dark Fusion making it live against everything, I also hope that they ban Stratos. He's really unfair and just does far too much. Bubbleman OTKs, free +1 in a deck that seems to have way too many monsters as is, with how it searches and recycles Alius, D. Draw and so forth.
Definitely a good listen, although I don't agree with some stuff (mostly you guys thinking inzektors don't need to be literally just raped, the deck does stupid things that shouldn't be able to be done) just the kind of stuff I love listening to while working on shit lol, keep it up
We've gotten some feedback about not knowing who's who so that's a good question. I'm the host and the one who began the show. I've got a deeper voice. Billy's the one that's sponsored by ARG and probably talked the most on the podcast. Then there's Scott. :)
theres one thing you forgot about on card destruction Sam. Empty Jar. While its not a very good deck, it can be compared to the example Billy gave of Rabbit, TGU, Heavy. If they open morphing jar, taiyou/ad changer(with many ways to discard it), and book of moon/eclipse, they almost auto win. the deck is sooooo consistent if you get those 3 cards that it almost always otk's after that is achieved. But.... the deck almost always wins by going card destruction at the end. Usually the empty jar player has about 3 cards left and the other player has a max of like 6. so the empty jar player sets their backrow and card d's for their 1 or 2 and their opponents 5 and then they win. In my opinion, the card does need a ban.
Hey Sam.
